Candle Care
Our candles are made with a luxurious creamy soy + coconut wax blend base. We use natural crackling wooden wicks that produce a relaxing ambiance similar to a fireplace and provide a beautiful horizontal flame shape.
We take great pleasure in using all natural, non-toxic, high quality fragrance oils. Free from the unnecessary chemicals, fillers, and made without paraffin, parabens, or phthalates.
Each candle is paired with a match box & candle care card for easy reference.
Prolong the life of your candle by following candle care guidelines:
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CANDLE
Trim the wick to 1/4" prior to each use. If wick is smoking, extinguish flame and wait until wax is solid. Trim wick and relight.
Prevent tunneling allow wax to melt to edges of container at each use when lighting.
What is "tunneling"?
Candle tunneling is the phenomenon of a lit candle melting through the center of the candle without melting all the surrounding wax, leaving a ledge of solid wax around the edge of the container. The flame on the wick creates a vertical “tunnel” towards the bottom as it burns, leaving a lot of wax around the sides.
Inside the tunnel, the wax directly underneath the flame quickly melts into liquid while the surrounding wax remains hard. This causes the tunneling to become worse over time.
Once the wick descends deeper into the surrounding wax, the flame won’t be able to get enough oxygen to sustain itself, causing the candle to go out.
But the problem doesn’t stop there. Tunneling is bad because it can drastically reduce the total burn time of your candle.
Burn safely place candle only on heat and fire resistant, level surfaces. Burn no longer than four hours at a time. Keep burning candle away from drafts. Burn candle in well ventilated areas.
Know when its time discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remains in container. Feel free to repurpose your vessel!
The wax is very workable, grab something with a sharpe edge to carve the remainder of the wax out of the vessel (handle with safety). Then you will be able to remove the remainder of the wick, wick holder, and wick holder sticker. For best results clean with 99% isopropyl alcohol for technical use. Use vessels for home decor and more!
